Tilda in the Tulip Lane

Hi Everyone...

I really love this Tilda in the Tulip lane...she looks so playful and happy...As usual, the most enjoyable part for me is always colouring my images...it's so soothing after a hard day at work...than, after that I will start panicking when I have to match the image with my hundreds of paper collections....LOL...it's always seems that nothing match! and we really need "something" new...isn't it? Dangerous addiction...Oh well, I opted for something simple this time and I really enjoy the end result....happy viewing & thanks you so much for looking...

Love,
Dewi

Macaron Course in San Francisco

Hi Everyone....

It's been months since my last post...the lazy "bug" has hit me...LOL and on top of that my real professional job is at its peak, really super duper busy at the end and the beginning of the year. Last December, we went to the US for our Christmas holiday...waaaaaay ahead my childhood friend Nadila, who is now resides in San Francisco, arranged for us to attend a baking course at Bonbini. We were so looking forward to this course, even though it was my first day in San Francisco after flying for many hours and battling jet lag. But, I was so happy to do this and was even happier to see my best friend again who is so sweet...Nadila and her husband Dave fetch me at our Hotel and together we went to Namthip Paine's apartment in Brennan area. Chef Namthip taught us to do Macaron in Italian and French method...it was really interessting and very good lesson, we had a good time at her place and so excited to see those macaron pop up from the oven...Nearing lunch time, the lesson was done...Nadila and I went for lunch in the nearby Cafe, we had a good portion of Duck Confit salad and share a sandwich while waiting for Dave to fetch us again. Afterwards...we went shopping together at Michaels and Jo-Ann...really really appreciate her precious time! Off course, shopping for craft things in the US is like heaven...we can practically get whatever we need in one stop...

Besides..my daughter is having her end of semester exams...Here is 3 new cards I made for my nieces...to make my life easier, I coloured the same images for them..so boring huh? Don't you think so...??

Red: R 29.27. 24
Blue: B 95.93,91
Sepia: E 43,42,41,40

Brother & Sister

Hi everyone...today, I manage to finish up a project long overdue...LOL....I received this stamps from Ying Pang/Magnolia Sweden DT because I won her blog candy...It's like wining a lotery for me! As I actually ordered one from Diana but they took it on purpose at my local post office...:(

Oh well....Ying become an angel sent to me as I got a replacer for what am loosing...I promised her that I will make her a card. Instead of card, I thought a note book decorated with the image should be more useful, if you agree with me...it makes a great present too. As Ying loves purple...I decided to work on those tones & I hope she like it...:)

You know...my basic recipes for face and hair will remain the same...as those are my favourite tones, as well as for the beige. This time I used V 95,93,91 for the lavender coloured dresses on the image. The doilly was cut with the Magnolia's dohickey

For some of you who placed a comment on my previous posting...thank you very much, your comments were really encouraging and heart warming... If you wonder about the situation after the volcanic erruption here, we are actually pretty safe in the capital city. It's quite bad in the central of the island as the volcanic ashes are going everywhere and some flights going in and out of country were suspended last week end...Nowadays, life goes back to normal and yesterday we had the chance to welcome President Obama here....!

Cross Stich Tilda

Hello Everyone....
Sometime simplicity is the best...I love the end result of this card as it has the air of elegance. I used the Magnolia DP for this card and the middle part of the card was cut with Spellbinders Nesties and embrossed with the Cuttlebug. Tilda was coloured with the following recipes & sprayed with Glimmer Mist (Pearl):

Face: E 11, 00, 000, R 21
Hair: E 35.34, YR 21,20
Dress: B 95,93,91
Shoes: E 39,35, 33

As the finishing touch, I put some ribbons and paper flowers..Hope you enjoy today's card and have a happy week end!

Mermaid Tilda

Today...I managed to do a super cute mermaid TIlda card. To complement the scenery...I took a plastic cake base and did an aquarium for the seahorse..Inside, I put some little beads that can move when you shake it. I put some stickles glue for the mermaid fin and the flowers emblishment were from www.iamroses.com Thank you for dropping by..and have a great Sunday!

Halloween Card

Finally...after a two weeks holiday and another 10 days sorting out dirty laundry at home...(yaiii...I think I need another short break! Hahahaha....) am able to do a Halloween card with this super cute Maggie...The DP was from Magnolia and I used the Dohickey tag I purchased from Diana...The spider web was cut with Quickutz....Well...we don't actually celebrate Halloween, Fall or Thanksgiving here in our country...but, I enjoyed doing this one very much...there's always someone out there that I can send a card to...enjoy the new change of the season...ooooh, I certainly miss the "smell" of it....

Loving Couple...

A few weeks back, I made this card for my sweet friend Debi...and am glad it finally arrived at the destination, even though it took several weeks to do so...I love this image and the romantic feel of the colour scheme even though it's only a simple one. Inside the card, I punched the edge of the paper with Martha Stewart edger punch and puffed it a little with some distress ink

Face : E 00, 000, E 11, R 20
Hair : E 35. E 34, YR 20, YR 21
Dress: E 42, 41, 40
Jeans : B 95, 93, 91

DP from Deja Views Wedding stack
Distress Ink: Tim Holz Antique Photo
Stickels on the lace

Ying Blog Candy

I discover today that Ying, Magnolia Sweden DT has a yummy blog candy...she's offering the Cozy Fall collection for all of us around the world. Her link is http://yingandmagnolia.blogspot.com. Good luck to you all!

Bridal Tilda

I was so eager to do this card as they look very loving together. I tried to do an easel card for this one, using half of the card paper from an old DCWV Bridal collection and another half of it embrossed with Cuttlebug & puffed with Tim Holz old paper distress ink pad.

The colouring was as follow:

Face: E11, E00, E11, R20
Hair: E 35.34, YR 20, 21
Bridal gown: E 42,41,40
Flower girl gown: R85,83,81
Shoes & basket: E 39,35,33

I put some Stickels glue on the edge of the gown to give a bridal accent. Hope you enjoy tis one...

Happy Birthday from around the World!

Happy Belated Birthday Diana! My sincere apology for being late....reason being, it took me several days to put up this special card for you together...while in the same time juggling with my full time work, busy Ramadhan month in our country & my mommy's duty. However...it is enjoyable to do these. I was inspired by those Hallmark cards I used to received in the 70's...full of different pages and images...my older cousins used to sent them from the States for my Birthday and Christmas. So...for this one, I was doing something different....using many resources I can get in Indonesia as we have limited Scrapbook goods here.

On the cover, is Captain Pilot Edwin who will take you for a journey around the world on his Jumbo jet. I was using Magnolia's DP and this Edwin came from Bon Voyage collection as are all the Tildas in this card. I cut a light blue paper and punch it with MS edger punch and embrossed it with stars from Quickutz. I also cut the clouds with Quickutz and distress the edge with Tim Holz distress ink

On the second page is the Indian American Tilda named Maggie. Maggie sits in front of the star, cut with quickutz dies and embrossed with cuttle bug. I used 2 different DP from Magnolia for this page & the swirl was cut with the Magnolia doohickey.
Maggie came from the land of the melting pot to wish Diana a very Happy Birthday!

Next was Mayumi...she came from the land of the raising sun and wishes Diana Otanjou-bi Omedetou Gozaimasu! Above her were the celebration lantern, glassed with Glossy accent.

After Mayumi, came Mathilda from the sunshine coast of Australia and also Marisol from the land of the Matadors who wishes you Feliz Cumpleanos! Marisol fan and dress were glazed with stickels....

Than Maanika...from the home of Gangga river and beautiful India...Janam Din ki badhai! I added stickels glue as well on the colibris and the waterfall to make a nice accent and on her dress as well

No journey is complete without a shopping trip in Paris...I think Birthday girl Diana deserve some pampering before captain Edwin fly her home...and Magalie will guide you throughout the shopping boulevard of the city of lights....

In addition to this birthday card, I made also a birthday banner to hang on the craftroom door..each one of the Tilda came from around the world as well. Instead of shopping Tilda, I replace her with Hawaiian Tilda..so it's really international. This banner can be hung either vertically or horizontally.

Finally...from the buttom of my heart SELAMAT ULANG TAHUN, Diana...that's what we said in Indonesian...hope you all enjoy my creations! Have a great week end to you
